One night. Two events. No problem!

One fact about myself is that I love organization! My calendar and planner are my best friends, I am constantly jotting things down to do and writing down events coming up!

When looking at this weekend’s calendar, I had two events going on at the same night! What was I going to do?!

I listed the pros and cons of missing one or attending the other when quickly I had a thought come to mind of, why not attend both? A horse awards banquet and a community ball for the American heart association. I sent my RSVP into both and created a plan of attack!

Since the Walking Horse Owners’ Association Awards banquet started earlier in the evening and the Rutherford County Heart Ball carried on to the extended hours of the evening, I planned on attending the banquet first! Smiles, laughter, and great conversation were a couple of things that come to mind when reminiscing on the banquet. Off-season of course brings time for rest and distance from the horse show world but it is always heart-warming to see familiar faces again right before the 2018 show season kicks off here soon. I would like to congratulate all of the National High Point Champions for the past season, hard work pays off!

After the first half and dinner at the banquet, I was off to the Rutherford County Heart Ball! I started attending this event last year with the thought of mind of meeting individuals in the area of Middle Tennessee and creating relationships with them, all while benefiting The American Heart Association! I donated a ThorSport Farm basket to the silent auction last year that included horseback riding lessons, trail rides, and other farm themed items. So of course I donated the same basket this year! Because of that basket, I gained three riding students that I still have to this day because of the silent auction! I can’t wait to meet who bought the basket from this year!

Overall, I had a fantastic time! With great thought and planning, it may have overwhelmed some of tackling the night, but with great strategy, it was a blast! “You only live once!”

Of course, I also take great pride in style and here is some information on my “glam” for the evening! Both dresses for the night, I rented from The Showroom in Nashville, Tennessee. With tremendous help from my stylist, Emily Goodin, we chose a classy but sexy knit, dark teal cocktail dress for the horse banquet. This dress was super fun and comfortable! For the heart ball, we chose a vintage style gown with a light tan silk dress underneath the black floral and mesh overlay. I loved the flow and ease of this dress! For those of you looking for statement jackets, tops, dresses, or accessories, for events coming up I highly suggest renting! The Showroom Nashville has been my go- to!

Of course for hair and makeup, I was in good hands with my ladies, THE GLAM SQUAD! Angela and Genia have been working with me for awhile most commonly when I’m on set for T.V. Shoots. Not only are they talented at what they do, but our conversations are always so fun and full of laughter!
